Flexible training services for your J&L Specialty folder Gluer
Our advantages concerning operator training
The importance of operator training by a qualified specialist cannot be overemphasized for either new or experienced operators. For new operators, it provides the opportunity to learn the best techniques from the beginning and gain a strong foundation to build upon. For experienced operators, additional training can provide them with the opportunity to pick up new techniques, help them eliminate bad habits and improve their overall efficiency.
Our trainers can instruct your personnel on the following:
- Machine Operation
- Machine Safety
- Box Setup Techniques on your designs, with emphasis on the "One Box Setup" and "Support/Fold/Hold" techniques
- Production and Machine Setup optimization
- Scrap reduction Techniques

box designer training and sales training
We also provide training for your box designers as well. When it comes to designing boxes to run on a Specialty Folder/Gluer (SFG) there are many considerations that the designer must take into account to make the design first run-able on the SFG and second able to run efficiently when setup. Poor box designs can heavily impact the overall performance of the machine by increasing setup & down times, increasing waste, and reducing potential production rates.
Our training seminar takes all of this into account and emphasizes the following topics:
- How to interpret range charts
- Which designs can and cannot run on your machine.
- Considerations to make your design the most efficient to run on your SFG
- Recommendations for die board design including scoring profiles, usage of crush rubber
- How to understand your SFG's capabilities (squaring systems, glue system, ect.)
